“ Stopped here for a meal on our way back from camping trip. The main hall was pretty busy, so we sat in the back. Service was great, although there was only one very friendly lady serving everyone, she was quite fast with menu and drinks. Food took a little longer to get to our table, but it was not a significant amount of time that would bother us. Our wait was totally worth it. Burgers were great, the taste, the structure, and toppings bonded together for one solid tasty burger + the bun that didn't get soggy and stayed in one piece while you finish your burger. Fries were crispy, just like we like them, just would be willing to have a little more of them on the side. Maybe it was just us wanting them more, as they just hit our taste buds so good. Overall experience was very good, can recommend for a visit, and if in the area will stop by again. For the food, maybe not the best burger I've tried, but it definitely hit my Top 5. ”

“ Hubby and I met with my parents for lunch here for my birthday. Amazing service, food and atmosphere. We are from out of town but will definitely drive the 37 minutes to enjoy this wonderful place again. Our fabulous server sang happy birthday and gave me a delicious piece of cake. We look forward to returning soon. ”

“ Hubby and I popped one town over to Madoc Firehall today for dinner. We had calamari starter which was great! Our dinners were the smoked salmon, leek and spinach penne in a rose sauce and chicken/shrimp fettuccine in Alfredo sauce with a glass of wine. We asked for a side of parmesan cheese which they happily brought. The food was incredible and good portions! The prices were very reasonable! Service was efficient and cheerful. The decor both inside (and exterior facade) was refreshed and bright with a huge bank of large screen TVs for sports fans! It was incredibly clean. The folks running it seem to work together as a team which makes for a great experience! We will definitely be back soon! ”

“ No matter what you order you will be happy with it. Today I had the reuben with fries and hubby had chicken wings. Tuesday wings are 90 cents. They will do plain or breaded and have lots of sauce choices. Jo is an amazing waitress who knows all the locals and remembers their preferences. If you are going on the weekend I would suggest you make a reservation as it gets really busy. ”

“ What a hidden gem!!! The food is delicious. Chef's kiss. They use all fresh ingredients. Offer daily specials and monthly specials like "Thanksgiving dinner" which is a great value. Trust me and get whatever special they are offering. The chicken souvlaki is hands down the best I've had in a long time and being from Toronto we have tons of options but this place blows any others out of the water. The service is really great, fast, and attentive. You can sit in the front near the bar which is a good vibe or sit in the back room where it feels like your transformed into a boutique restaurant overlooking the river. It's gorgeous. The whole restaurant is clean. This spot is a must to meet a friend for brunch, catch the game, go with family for dinner, or have a larger group get together. Madoc Firehall will not disappoint. ”
